In 1990, the Youngman Award was established in honor of Travel and Transport's founder, Lawrence Youngman. This annual award is presented to the outstanding non-management employee to recognize their contribution to the success of our company.  Each year the Youngman Award winner is selected from those non-management employees who were nominated for the Above and Beyond Award. From more than 100 Above and Beyond nominations the Executive Committee elected to honor two employees for the 2008 Youngman Award:

April Beasley, Assistant Manager Operations

 Ginger Eberspacher, Telecommunications Assistant Manager

April has held a number of positions in her 17 year career with Travel and Transport and is currently an assistant manager in charge of a company corporate account.  April was selected to manage this account during the final sales process and played a key role in selling the strengths of Travel and Transport. In her Above and Beyond write-up, her Director wrote, “April is outstanding in her job and will go to any length to please the customer. She will jump in and be an agent, a mentor, a trainer or any other thing asked.” The travel manager wrote, “April is absolutely fabulous...I couldn’t have done my job as successfully if she hadn’t been there. She is a true asset to your team and we are so lucky to have her on OUR team.”

Ginger has been with Travel and Transport for 13 years and is currently serving as assistant manager of all telecommunications throughout the company. In 2008 Ginger led her team through the largest telecommunications conversion project that Travel and Transport has ever experienced. Her Director wrote, “She was able to accomplish  this under  very tight deadlines  and constraints. The achievement was only made possible because of her willingness to dedicate countless overtime hours and the sacrifice of her vacation. She epitomizes the term, LEAD BY EXAMPLE and was clearly over the top with her efforts. Ginger’s selfless dedication and commitment to excellence exemplifies what employee-ownership is all about.”
