The Global Business Travel Association announced May 15 that more than 1,000 business travel buyers have already registered for the 2014 GBTA Convention. These numbers this early on make it the earliest in the history of the event that the milestone has been reached with overall registration on pace to break previous records.
There are almost 4,000 attendees already registered to attend the convention being held July 26 through July 30, 2014 in Los Angeles.
“Travel buyers are the heartbeat of a company’s travel program – they make sure travel continues while also making sure company dollars are wisely invested,” said GBTA Executive Director and COO Michael McCormick. “The GBTA Convention keeps innovating and improving each year, making it the premiere place to bring together these agents of growth, connecting travel managers and suppliers and continuing to energize the business travel industry.”
The theme for this year’s convention is Business in Motion and will include guests from all parts of the business travel industry. The five-day event features keynote speakers, more than 80 industry-leading education sessions, a large business travel expo floor, a selection of professional development opportunities and the chance to build on business travel careers. A total of 7,000 attendees are expected at the 2014 GBTA Convention.
New programs and speakers will continue to be announced as the day of the event gets closer. More information on the 2014 GBTA Convention can be found at gbta.org/convention.
