New business travel carriers La Compagnie and BizCharters recently launched their high end services. According to the New York Times, La Compangie began flying its routes between Newark, New Jersey, and Paris in July while BizChaters started its service in early August.
La Compagnie flew its Paris to Newark flight four times each week in August and will increase it to six times per week come September, the Times reported. The biggest leap will occur in November when the business class carrier will offer daily service between Newark and Paris come September.
There are 74 lie-flat seats in a two-by-two cabin onboard its Boeing 757-200 jet. Each passenger on the business class-only carrier receives a tablet computer with pre-installed movies, information and music. In addition to in-flight entertainment, passengers will enjoy privacy in fixed shells and seats that recline to a 180-degree angle that also boast a built-in massage feature.
Regular round-trip airfare for a La Compagnie flight starts at $1,915 per person. The airline is all about comfort for its passengers, who are often traveling to business meetings.
According to the source, BizCharters is all about convenience for its passengers. BizCharters holds 30 passengers on Embraer jets. The planes will fly from business jet terminals so passengers won't have to worry about regular security lines. Arriving late to the airport also won't be an issue as travelers will be permitted to board up to 15 minutes before departure.
BizCharters will fly between Midway International Airport in Chicago and surrounding airports and Morristown, New Jersey, a city just outside of Midtown Manhattan. The airline also has another route that goes between Chicago and Washington Dulles International Airport.
Tickets for a flight with BizCharters will cost $495 each way or $695 round trip.
