United offers summer service to Madrid

Family vacations can be an even greater bonding experience when you jet across the Atlantic and try a journey abroad. If you’ve never before been to Spain, check out United Airlines new direct, daily flights from Washington Dulles International Airport flying now until September 4.

According to the Washington Post, travelers in the U.S. will have improved access to Spain during the summer season. Passengers will fly across the ocean on Boeing 757-200 jets, each with 169 seats, including 16 flat-bed seats for BusinessFirst travelers. There will be 153 seats in United Economy with 45 being Economy Plus with extra legroom.

The source stated that daily flights will depart Dullest at 5:45 p.m. and arrive at Madrid-Barajas Airport at 7:40 a.m. the following day. The journey from the U.S. to Spain will be seven hours, 55 minutes, while return flights will be eight hours, 55 minutes.

There are other U.S. carriers also offering flights to Madrid during the summer season including Delta Air Lines, American Airlines, Air Europa, Iberia Airlines and US Airways.

Travelers interested in flights to China can opt for China Airlines when it launches direct service from Dulles to Beijing four days a week beginning June 10.
