Senior Vice President and Officer, Customer Solutions
Joel has over 25 years of experience in the travel industry. Prior to joining Travel and Transport, he held various product marketing and business development positions at Sabre and Travelocity for Business. Joel also worked in product marketing at IBM. In his current role at Travel and Transport, Joel is responsible for Customer Solutions, which includes our entire North America Travel Advisor and Operations team. Customer Solutions is focused on the entire customer experience including reservations, fulfillment, trip support, and disruption management. Joel and his team collaborate with sales, account management, and technology to improve efficiency while also enhancing customer service and satisfaction.
My most amazing travel experience: I spent a week in what was East Berlin shortly after the wall fell. You could see the stark difference between the East and West sides of the city. There was also an excitement in the city for the changes that were happening.
What it means to me to be an employee-owner: As employee-owners, it instills a great sense of teamwork and pride across the entire company. It creates a unique focus on doing a great job for our customers because everyone understands the impact customer satisfaction has on our business.
Philanthropic organizations I am involved in: One of the organizations I support is the Challenged Athletes Foundation (CAF). CAF provides opportunities for people with physical disabilities to participate in athletic events with the goal of building self-esteem and encouraging independence.Back to executive team
